Stage One at Boston Adult Technical Academy

Company One Theatre began its residency in Boston Public Schools five years ago at Boston Adult Technical Academy. There, C1 teaching artists work with English as a Second Language (ESL) students using vocal, physical, and creative writing techniques to support English language acquisition. This semester, our students performed excerpts from The Diary of Anne Frank, A Raisin in the Sun, and The Bluest Eye. Take a look at BATA’s ESL 2 class performing an adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank:



Production Apprentices host A Night @ the BCA

Company One Theatre is a resident theatre company with the Boston Center for the Arts. Every year, the BCA hosts an event in which donors are able to get a glimpse of all the work the artists housed at the BCA do.  This year, Company One Theatre’s production apprentices led a 30 minute interactive activity intended to highlight XXPlayLab and Natsu Onoda Power’s “Astor Boy and the God of Comics” which is being performed this summer at the BCA.
